What the address lookup is for
The address lookup finds an address anywhere in the world and shows it in full and split into street, neighbourhood, district, city and postal code, with its coordinates and links to the map. It works the other way too: type coordinates such as 40.7484, -73.9857 to see the address at that point. Use it to check an address before you send something, to get the coordinates of a place or to find out where a pair of coordinates is. The data comes from OpenStreetMap.
Frequently asked questions
How do I get the coordinates of an address?
Type the address and press Find. The coordinates are shown under each result with a copy button, next to links to OpenStreetMap and Google Maps.
How do I find the address of a pair of coordinates?
Type them as latitude, longitude, such as 40.7484, -73.9857, and press Find. The address at that point is shown.
Is the address I type stored?
No. Our server sends it to OpenStreetMap's Nominatim to find it. The answer stays in Cloudflare's cache for up to a week so the same search isn't sent again, and nothing ties it to you. OpenStreetMap sees our server's request, not your IP address.
