What the postal code lookup is for
The postal code lookup works both ways in more than 120 countries: type a postal or ZIP code to see the towns and neighbourhoods it covers, or type a place to find its postal codes. Each result shows the district and the province or state, the results are marked on a small map, and each one opens on a full map. Use it to fill in a form, to check an address before you send a parcel or to find where a code on a label points to. The search runs in your browser on a copy of the list.
Frequently asked questions
How do I find the postal code of a place?
Choose the country, type the neighbourhood, town or district and press Search. Each result shows the code, the place, the district and the province. For a full street address, the address lookup shows its postal code too.
Which countries are covered?
More than 120, including the United States, Turkey, Germany, France, Spain, Mexico, India, Japan and Indonesia. The country list in the tool shows them all.
Is my search sent anywhere?
No. The page downloads the small part of the list your code or name falls in and searches it in your browser.
